Our practice nurses run surgeries by appointment to carry out:
- Baby and adult immunisations
- Cervical smears
- Travel advice
- Wound dressings and removal of stitches
- Ear syringing
- Well Woman and Well Man clinics
- Warfarin testing
They run chronic disease clinics to monitor
- Heart disease
- Respiratory disease
- Blood pressure
They also assist the doctors with minor surgery and IUCD clinics, and are available for telephone consultations by appointment.

The midwives provide care and advice during pregnancy and after childbirth. They hold weekly ante-natal clinics at the surgery.

Malika Boyle is our community matron and is a highly experienced senior nurse, who sees mainly elderly patients in their own homes to plan and organize their care. As well as providing nursing care, our community matron acts as a “Case manager” – a single point of contact for care, support or advice and works as part of a multi-professional and multi-agency team.
Our community nurses have an important role in the management of patients who are housebound. The team assesses each individual patient’s needs and makes a management and care plan for them. They can be contacted on 0300 303 9513.
A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.
